LEAVE DURING TERM TIME
School is closed for 13 weeks every year for holidays giving ample opportunity to travel abroad for holidays or to visit family.
Children missing education due to illness is sometimes unavoidable, however, taking a child out of school during term time to travel for whatever reason is unacceptable, therefore as stated in the London Borough of Redbridge Zero Tolerance Policy, any such leave will be met with a penalty notice of £120.00 per parent, per child and recorded as unauthorised.
Any request for leave must be made in writing to the head teacher prior to taking a child out of school during term time.
Parents should also be aware that any extended leave may result in their child/children losing their school place.
